Standing 626 feet above Calgary, the view from the Calgary Tower observation deck, as well as the revolving restaurant, the Panorama Room, is worth a visit. On a clear day, the view of the Rocky Mountains to the west is fantastic. The torch on top of the tower was built for the 1988 Olympics, and is lit for special occasions such as Canada Day celebrations.

This 80-acre wildlife reserve features more than 250 species of birds and 300 species of plants, plus several kinds of mammals. More than two kilometers of level walking trails wind through the riverine forest along the Bow River and alongside a peaceful lagoon. Admission is free, however, donations are accepted. No pets, bicycles, roller blades or bird food.
